PURPOSE: A machine room cooling system of a refrigerator is provided to effectively improve the evaporation of defrost water with a channel type receiving part, a porous absorber, and a heat pipe. CONSTITUTION: A machine room cooling system of a refrigerator comprises a refrigerator body wherein a machine room in which a compressor(10) is installed is formed, a channel type receiving part(100) which is arranged with surrounding the compressor in the machine room, a porous absorber(200) which is formed in the channel type receiving part, and a heat pipe(300) which comprises a heat sink(310) connected to the compressor and a radiating unit(320) arranged in the porous absorber. A ventilation fan(500) blowing air to the compressor is installed inside the machine room. Defrost water is provided to the inside of the channel type receiving part.
