PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera that facilitates positive use of playback functions. SOLUTION: A mode selection picture 41 for changing a camera operation to a photography mode or playback mode is composed of a photography selection picture 42 including information regarding the photography mode and a playback selection picture 43 including information regarding the playback mode. A photography icon 42a for change to the photography mode is displayed as the information regarding the photography mode, and a playback icon 43a for change to the playback mode and playback images 43b are displayed as the information regarding the playback mode.
