<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular hydraulic master cylinder and a method of manufacturing the same, capable of improving productivity, by easily performing cutting work of a cylinder hole in a short time. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The cylinder hole 4 is formed with a prepared hole 18 by insertion of a core when casting a cylinder body. A part up to a position for arranging a cup seal 8 when a piston 5 becomes a full stroke state from an opening part 4b of the cylinder hole 4, is formed as a work surface part 4c by the cutting work, and the cylinder hole bottom part side more than the work surface part 4c is formed as an unworked surface part 4d of leaving a draft gradient shape of the core.
