PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for controlling welding, a welding system and a program for controlling welding which prevent the collision of a welding robot with a steel-frame structure and secure the safety of an operator when welding the steel-frame structure, and also achieve automation of a welding work. SOLUTION: The device 8 for controlling welding is used to control a welding device 1, and includes: a measuring program selecting means 8A which selects a measuring program in accordance with the shape of the steel-frame structure from among a plurality of patterns of the measuring programs which are beforehand registered and transmits the selected measuring program to the welding device 1; a data calculating means 8E which receives the measured data measured with a sensor 7 according to a transmitted measuring program and calculates the dimension data of the steel-frame structure by transforming the coordinate of a detecting position of the measured data; and a welding program correcting means 8F which, on the basis of the dimension data, corrects the welding program which is registered beforehand, and transmits the corrected welding program to the welding device 1.
