<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving force distributing device capable of inhibiting slippage of drive wheels even in a start of a vehicle. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This driving force distributing device is disposed between a right and a left driving wheel and can change distribution of driving force transmitting driving force to the right and the left driving wheel by transferring driving force from one driving wheel to another driving wheel. The driving force distributing device includes a split μ road detection means 5 detecting a split μ road on which road surface friction coefficients of the right and the left driving wheel are different, and changes distribution of driving force to transfer driving force from the driving wheel at a side of high road surface friction coefficient to the driving wheel at a side of low road surface friction coefficient out of the right and the left driving wheel from beginning of start after vehicle stop when it is detected that the road surface on which the vehicle stop is a split μ road.
