<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize a brush unit and to improve reliability for avoiding electric short circuit. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A positive pole terminal plate 70 and a negative pole terminal plate 80 are insert-molded into the brush holder 42 in the state where the positive pole terminal plate 70 and the negative terminal plate 80 have a portion crossing in a diameter direction of a brush holder 42, and are arranged mutually contactlessly while they have a gap in the axial direction of the brush holder 42 in the crossing portion. The heat dissipation performance of the positive pole terminal plate 70 and the negative pole terminal plate 80 is improved by pull-out through holes 160, 162 and pull-out bottomed holes 150, 154 which exist in the brush holder 42.
