<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a postprocessing device to be further reduced in size, for suitably registering papers, without causing hanging-down and buckling deformation of the paper placed on a stacker. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This postprocessing device is provided with a movable auxiliary member capable of placing a plurality of papers, retracting when existing in a first position, and projecting when existing in a second position, from the extension surface of the paper stacking surface of a paper stacking part having the paper stacking surface of inclining upward to the horizontal direction on the downstream side in the direction for carrying the placed paper.
