<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for washing a coating roller subsequent to a coating work, wherein a roller is rotated by water pressure to wash off paint therefrom upon washing the roller. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Upon washing a coating roller 11, the roller 11 is inserted into a rod-shaped rotation shaft, and water ejected from a plurality of ejection holes 4 opened in an ejection pipe 5 kept to stand parallel to the roller 11 is made to hit the roller 11 to apply pressure thereonto to rotate the roller 11 by virtue of water pressure, whereby the paint sticking to the roller 11 can be washed off and the roller 11 can cleanly be washed in a short period of time.
