<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball shooting toy that variegates a struck ball by a simple operation and enables a user to play it amusingly without being bored. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The toy includes a top plate 13 that can cover a spherical body, a rear cover wall, and a side cover wall 17, thereby defining an internal space that can accommodate a spherical body therein. The toy further includes: a right arm 51 and a left arm 55 which extend from a toy body 10 so that their leading ends spread forward, the toy body 10 having a front opening for striking the spherical body forward; an insertion hole 35 having in the bottom plate 33 of the toy body 10 the insertion hole 35 of a diameter slightly greater than that of the peripheral body; and a striking member 81 made of an elastic material, which extends from the rear cover wall of a semicircular shape to an area near and above the center of the insertion hole 35.
