ENCODER-EQUIPPED DRIVE TRANSMISSION BELT AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoder-equipped drive transmission belt which has an aptitude as a drive transmission belt regardless of a simple configuration, accurately transmitting rotation detection information including elongation of the belt. SOLUTION: A longitudinal strip-like magnetic rubber layer 5 is included in a portion of a belt layer structure 1 of the drive transmission belt. The surface of the magnetic rubber layer 5 is exposed to the surface of the belt layer structure 1 and is formed as a multipole magnetizing surface 5a where N-poles and S-poles are arranged in an alternating, equally spaced relation.
