PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper system for downsizing an impact-absorbing space in a cowl. SOLUTION: A pivot supporting section 44, rotatably supporting a DR-side pivot shaft 17a, is spaced from an abutment contact surface CS of a mounting leg 43 for a DR-side vehicle body panel in an axial direction of the DR-side pivot shaft 17a. First to third pivot supporting legs 45 to 47, radially extending from the pivot supporting section 44, are provided between the pivot supporting section 44 and a motor bracket 40. Thus, the impact-absorbing space S, enabling the DR-side pivot shaft 17a to drop off, is formed between the pivot supporting section 44 and the mounting leg 43.
