A treatment tool (12) includes a first treatment unit (52), a second treatment unit (54), and an operation unit (32).  The first treatment unit has holding members (62, 64) for holding an organism tissues to be joined, and energy radiating sections (82b, 84b) for joining the organism tissues to be joined and joins the organism tissues to be joined when energy is applied from an energy source.  The second treatment unit is sandwiched between the organism tissues to be joined and denaturalizes the surfaces of the organism tissues to be joined in contact therewith.  The operation unit is operated to relatively move the holding members.  The energy radiating sections and the second treatment unit are capable of detecting either biological information relating to the organism tissues held by the holding members and/or biological information relating to the organism tissues among the holding members and the second treatment unit.  The energy outputted to the energy radiating sections and the second treatment unit from the energy source is controlled according to the biological information relating to the organism tissues acquired by the energy radiating sections and the second treatment unit.
