The arrangement has an alignment- and fixation device for aligning and fixing a bumper relative to an engine bonnet (28) and a beam upper part (38). The alignment-and fixation device comprises a locking device (50) that exhibits multiple locking positions. The locking device aligns the bumper relative to the engine bonnet in one of the locking positions. The locking device comprises an adapter part (30) that is fixed at the engine bonnet and the beam upper part. The locking device is fixed in the arrangement using fixing elements i.e. screws. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a mounting part on a motor vehicle.
