APPARATUS FOR DEFINING THE EDGES OF ADJACENT CONCRETE FLOOR SLABS

Apparatus for defining the edges of adjacent concrete floor slabs comprises a first assembly including a divider plate carrying a first edge rail and a second assembly comprising a support plate carrying a second edge rail, the assemblies being joined together by a yieldable connection with the edge rails adjacent each other, in which the first edge rail comprises a strip member of which a longitudinal edge region overhangs the joint between the divider and support plates and the support plate includes a substantially horizontal support element which becomes partially exposed as the edge rails separate in use to define a channel between the edge rails, the support element further including connection means for a filler strip member insertable in the channel and supportable by the exposed part of the support element.
