A container shaping apparatus (13) with the purpose of naturally and reliably folding a flap regardless of the paper quality of a container material, the surface slippage, etc., and without applying an extra stress to the container, wherein the container shaping apparatus (13) for shaping a pillow-shaped unfinished container (C1) filled with a beverage into a rectangular-parallelepiped finished container (C3) with flaps (Ft, Fb) comprises a shaping conveyer (52) which has a container holder (51) for holding the unfinished container (C1) so that an end of the unfinished container (C1) which is to define a bottom side of the container projects upward from the container holder (51), and which is intermittently driven so that the container holder (51) stops at a folding station (S2); an anvil (61) arranged above the container holder (51) stopped at the folding station (S2) so that the anvil (61) can be moved close to or apart from the container holder (51); a pair of wings (62) arranged on opposite sides of the anvil (61) located therebetween so as to open or close; an anvil driving mechanism for driving the anvil (61) so that when the anvil (61) comes close to the container holder (51), the anvil (61) can press the center of the end of the unfinished container which is to define the bottom side of the container; and a wing driving mechanism for driving both the wings (62) so that the wings (62) in the closed position press the portions which project upward and define the flaps (Ft, Fb) of the container, from opposite sides of the center of the end of the unfinished container which has been pressed by the anvil (61) and which is to define the bottom side of the container, against the anvil (61).
