<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent brush wear in a motor using a disk commutator. <P>SOLUTION: A brush member 50 slidably contacting a plurality of sectorial conductor sections 36 radially arranged on the disk commutator 32 is formed so that its sliding surface becomes rectangular, and brushes are arranged so that both long sides of the rectangle become parallel to the diameter of the disk commutator. Since the brush unit is formed in a shape having edges slanting to the boundary line of the plurality of conductor sections, switching to a subsequent conductor section is gradually executed in the brush.
