<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side airbag and a side airbag device capable of improving deploying stability, by restraining flapping of a lower chamber in inflating and deploying. <P>SOLUTION: A first tether 30 is joined to respective panels 22A and 22B so as to mutually offset respective joining positions 36 and 32 of a first edge part 30a joined to the first panel 22A and a second edge part 30b joined to the second panel 22B. Thus, rigidity of the lower chamber 28 can be enhanced by increasing the length of a cylindrical inflating part 34 positioned on the rear side in the vehicle longitudinal direction in the lower chamber 28. As a result of it, the deploying stability of the side airbag 16 can be improved by restraining the flapping of the lower chamber 28 in inflating and deploying by an internal pressure difference between an upper chamber 26 and the lower chamber 28. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
