<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for measuring the insulation resistance of electrical apparatus, capable of efficiently determining the insulation resistance of a heat-generating part, without removing a coolant from the electrical apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The method for measuring the insulation resistance of electrical apparatus which measures the insulation resistance between a heat-generating part and a ground potential, in the electrical apparatus 21 that allows a coolant to pass through running water passages 23, 23A, 23B in communication with the heat-generating part 24, includes: a ground insulation measurement step of collectively measuring ground insulation resistance including a coolant passage circuit insulation resistance between a coolant passage circuit, formed by the running water passage and a ground potential and heat-generating part insulation resistance between the heat-generating part and a ground potential and a heat-generating part insulation resistance determination step of determining the heat-generating part insulation resistance, by subtracting the coolant passage circuit insulation resistance from the ground insulation resistance, measured by the ground insulation resistance measurement step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
