PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an envelope for a direct mail and a method for manufacturing the envelope capable of recycling it for a clear file and capable of improving an opening rate. SOLUTION: The envelope 10 is characterized by providing a pair of double-faced sheets 2 and 3 and having the left side end 10a whose mutual edges are connected, the right side end 10b whose mutual edges are connected, the lower end 10d whose mutual edges are connected and an opening section 10c between respective upper end edges in the pair of the double-faced sheets 2 and 3. The top and bottom separation lines 21a and 21b are formed in the inward of the opening section 10c, sideward separation lines 22a and 22b are formed so as to connect the top and bottom separation lines 21a and 21b with the lower end 10d between the top and bottom separation lines 21a and 21b and the lower end 10d and printing is carried out on the inside surface which is inner than the top and bottom separation lines 21a and 21b and the sideward separation lines 22a and 22b.
