<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve prediction accuracy of precipitation in a mid-and-long term. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A precipitation prediction system 10 includes: a general weather condition acquisition part 111 for acquiring general weather condition information; a weather pattern registration part 112 for generating weather pattern information based on the general weather condition included in the general weather condition information; a weather pattern database 132 for storing the weather pattern information correlatively with a date; a general weather condition database 131 for storing the precipitation correlatively with the date; a weather forecast acquisition part 114 for acquiring a weather forecast, and generating the weather pattern information based on the weather forecast; and a precipitation prediction part 115 for reading out the date corresponding to the weather pattern from the weather pattern database 132, reading out the precipitation corresponding to the date from the general weather condition database 131, and calculating a percentile value of the read-out precipitation as a prediction value of the precipitation.
