<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for stirring which can rapidly and uniformly stir and mix, throughout the inside of a tank, a fluid having a viscosity ranging from a high to low viscosity. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the apparatus 1 for stirring having an upper part fin 4 (6, 6', 6") and an lower part fin 5 fixed to a stirring shaft 3, the upper part fin 4 is constituted by upper part stirring fins 6, 6', 6" disposed with a plurality of steps. Each of the upper part stirring fins 6, 6', 6" has cut parts on a front side of the rotating direction and on a backside of the rotating direction in a region surrounded by lines connecting both end parts of the upper stirring fin and a center part of the stirring shaft in a planar view.
