PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a fiber product for imparting maintainable perfume to fiber products. SOLUTION: The method for treating a fiber product for imparting the maintainable perfume to fiber products includes a step A of treating the fiber product with a fiber product-treating agent composition containing (a) a compound represented by general formula (1) [wherein, X is -OH, -R<SP>1</SP>(R<SP>1</SP>is an aliphatic hydrocarbon having totally 1-22 carbon atoms, or the like) or -OR<SP>2</SP>(R<SP>2</SP>is 6-22C hydrocarbon); Y is X or -OSi(X)<SB>3</SB>; n is 0-15; with the proviso that at least one of -OR<SP>2</SP>is present in one molecule] and (b) a nonionic surfactant, and a step B of heat-treating the fiber product treated in the step A.
