PURPOSE: A unit cell and a polymer electrolyte fuel cell stack are provided to improve the durability of the stack by dispersing concentrated stress into a corner part of the stack, to improve the efficiency of the stack by enhancing diffusion efficiency of a channel, and to maximize the diffusion effect through diversification of a sealing material. CONSTITUTION: A unit cell(200) used for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell stack comprises: a membrane-electrode assembly(210) including an ion exchange membrane(214) which is placed between first and second porous electrode layers(212); a pair of separators(220) having a plurality of channels; a pair of combining holes(231,233); arrangement holes(235) which are arranged around the combining holes to form a manifold for fuel and air; an edge sealing material(240) which is placed between one side of the membrane-electrode assembly and the edge of the separator; and a joint sealing material(250) which is placed between one side of the membrane-electrode assembly and the separator. |
