<p>PURPOSE: A device and a method for predicting traffic information are provided to detour a congested road by providing accurate traffic information to a user by dealing with a traffic situation. CONSTITUTION: A position detector(10) detects information about a current position. A receiver receives a traffic information signal from a server and decodes the received signal. A storage unit(30) successively stores the traffic information collected by the receiver according to the time. A controller predicts the traffic information of a road on a path from a current position to a destination by a position detector using the variation of the traffic information. An output unit(50) outputs the predicted traffic information by the controller.</p> |
