<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating disk knife enabling mounting of individual knife to a cutting assembly and dismounting individual knife from the cutting assembly without dismounting remaining knives and dismounting a shaft from a machine. <P>SOLUTION: The rotating disk knife is provided with a mounting opening for mounting the rotating disk knife onto the cutting assembly shaft and with a plurality of cutting teeth (1, 2) attached around the circumference of the disk (6), especially the rotating disk knife is a knife for cutting a paper cover of cigarettes, and the mounting opening (7) in the disk (6) of the knife is connected with the cutting edge (5) of the disk at a point (8) where the edge (5) of the knife is discontinuous.
