PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch a recording medium conveying direction with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: When a rotary developing apparatus 40 is rotated so that a developing roll 46K of a developing apparatus 42K faces an image holder 32, a main conveying path 22 is connected to a delivery conveying path 24 by the operation of a conveying path switching mechanism 62. When the rotary developing apparatus 40 is rotated so that one of developing rolls 46Y, 46M, 46C of developing apparatuses 42Y, 42M, 42C faces the image holder 32, the main conveying path 22 is connected to a circulating conveying path 26 by the operation of the conveying path switching mechanism 62.
