PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always keep a dot gain optimal according to a change in the diameter of a blanket cylinder. SOLUTION: This printing pressure regulating apparatus 20 applied to a printing section which makes an ink fed to the printing plate P of a plate cylinder 8 transferred to the blanket B of the blanket cylinder 9 as a printed image, and regulates printing pressure between the printing plate P and the blanket B includes: a plate cylinder moving means 21 which moves the plate cylinder 8 in a configuration that the inter-axial distance D1 between the plate cylinder 8 and the blanket cylinder 9 is changed; and a controlling means 23 which controls the plate cylinder moving means 21 according to the relationship of the change in the diameter of the blanket cylinder 9 accompanied by the progress of printing which has been stored in advance.
