PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can print a plurality of pieces of copy on a single copier paper efficiently from a single document. SOLUTION: A multi functional machine 10 includes a scanner part 56 for reading the document to make out image data ID; and a display panel 50. In the multi functional machine 10, a paper size of a copier paper CP is decided. Further, a document area DA trimmed from the image data ID is set as a copy area PA. Further, a printable maximum number MP in which a plurality of copy areas PA are put in order on the copier paper CP for printing is computed. Further, a print preview diagram in which the copy areas PA of the printable maximum number MP are put in order on the copier paper CP is displayed on the display panel 50. Further, the copy areas PA corresponding to the number of copy pieces M are printed on the copier paper CP in accordance with a copy instruction.
