<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress nonuniformity of a quantity of light due to the contact hole of an insulating layer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A first electrode 61 is formed on the surface of the second insulating layer 42 covering a drive transistor Tdr. The first electrode 61 is disposed in contact with the drain electrode 34 of the drive transistor Tdr via the contact hole CH of the second insulating layer 42. A light emission layer 66 is disposed between the first electrode 61 and a second electrode 62 which faces the first electrode 61. An auxiliary lead 70 is formed on the emission side of light emitted from the light emission layer 66. The auxiliary lead 70 is formed of a conductive material having resistivity lower than the second electrode 62 and is electrically connected to the second electrode 62.
