The exhaust gas turbocharger comprises a shaft (2) bearing a turbine wheel (1) and a compressor impeller (3), where the turbine wheel, the compressor impeller and the shaft are formed as a single-piece metallic powder injection molded part that is one-component injection molded part or two-component injection molded part and/or as a three-component powder injection molded part and are sintered. The shaft and the turbine wheel are formed as one-component injection molded part or two-component powder injection molded part and are sintered, where the shaft has less thermal conductivity compared to the turbine wheel.
