The engine (1) has a combustion chamber (3) that is lockable against a gas channel (4) e.g. exhaust channel, by a valve (2). An actuator (6) is attached to the valve which comprises a valve disk (8). Another valve (5) is arranged between the gas channel and the combustion chamber in parallel to the former valve, where the valves are mechanically coupled with each other by a shaft (7). The former valve is movable in the combustion chamber and the latter valve is movable in the gas channel, where the valves move in opposite directions.
