PURPOSE: A display device using electrochromism and PDLC and a driving method thereof are provided to realize a still image by memory characteristic besides a moving picture. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of first and second electrodes(131,132) is separated to the fixed interval. A PDLC(Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) layer(135) is formed between the first electrodes and second electrodes. A plurality of third and fourth electrodes(141,142) is separated to the fixed interval in the upper of the second electrodes. A plurality of electrochromic layers(145R,145G,145B) is formed between the third electrodes and fourth electrodes. Electrolyte layers(146) is formed between the third electrodes and fourth electrodes.
