<p>A method and apparatus for detecting the launch position of a projectile is described. The apparatus includes at least one wideband microphone array positioned so as to be responsive to acoustic emissions generated by the launch and flight of a projectile. The apparatus includes signal processing means, for processing the signals generated by the microphone array or arrays, the output of which provides an estimate of launch position and kinematic information relating to the projectile.</p> |
