摘要 PURPOSE: An optical structure for a wide viewing angle type vertical alignment liquid crystal cell using a compensation film is provided to optically compensate the phase difference value according to a viewing angle. CONSTITUTION: A vertical alignment liquid crystal cell(20) applies voltage and controls the transmittance of external light. Upper and lower polarizing plates(30,40) are arranged in the upper and lower side of the vertical alignment liquid crystal cell. Viewing angle compensation films are arranged between the crystal cell and the upper and lower polarizing plate. The viewing angle compensation film includes a negative C-plate(22), a positive A-plate(24), and a positive C-plate(26). The negative C-plate is attached to the upper of the vertical alignment liquid crystal cell.
