The protective helmet has a shockproof helmet cap and a head rest. A side wing of a sun shade (4) is stabilized by double lateral guide (6) guided in the helmet cap against movement transverse to the sun shade. The lateral guide is fastened in end area between the fastening elements, and lateral end of the sun shade is fastened at a rear side.
