PURPOSE: A method for preparing alph-lipoic acid using enzymes which are related to alpha-lipoic acid biosynthesis is provided to synthesize a formulation for antioxidation, skin care, antiaging, and blood glucose reduction. CONSTITUTION: An alpha-lipoic acid is prepared using lipoic acid synthetase, lipoic acid protein ligase A enzyme, and il transferase. The lipoic acid synthetae contains an amino acid sequence of sequence number 17. The lipoic acid protein ligase A enzyme has an amino acid sequence of sequence number 18.
