Use of a composition (A) comprising a mixture of at least bacterium (A1) and at least one yeast (A2), which are non-toxic to plants, for biological control of fungal diseases on vines. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) the bacterial strains Bacillus megaterium BP B-01 (CNCM I-2987) and B. subtilis BP B-10 (CNCM I-2940); (2) the yeast strain Debaromyces BP Y-01 (CNCM I-2890); (3) biofungicidal preparation (B) that comprises (A), a composition containing filamentous fungi and an inert vehicle; and (4) use of (B) for treating fungal diseases of crop plants ACTIVITY : Plant Antifungal. 450 stocks of Chardonnay were treated 10 times with an undefined mixture of bacteria and yeast. 39 of then became infected with mildew or Botrytis; compare both these infections on all untreated controls.
