Power turbine with electric power generator centred on the axis of the turbine engine

A turbine engine 100 for an aircraft comprises a gas generator 14 and a receiver 30 wherein said receiver is provided with a first propeller that is driven by a power turbine 34. The first propeller is provided with a propeller case 46 from which blades 48 protrude radially outwards and the power turbine is provided with an outer case 40. The propeller case is arranged such that it is located radially outward relative to the outer case. The propeller case may be in aerodynamic continuity with an outer nacelle 8 skin 10 of the turbine engine on which a stator 66 of the power generator may be attached. There may be a second propeller 36 driven by a second free power turbine 38 wherein the first and second propellers are counter rotating.
