FIELD: engines and pumps. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in injecting and mixing hydrocarbon mix with air. In compliance with proposed method, a portion of air is separated of total airflow consumed by engine. Said portion is converted into low-temperature air plasma and hydrocarbon mix is mixed with air. Hydrocarbon mix is treated by low-temperature air plasma in fuel plasma converter reactor in performing of conversion and self-ignition of obtained fuel-air mix in intake manifold due to heat of combustion of said mix. ^ EFFECT: ease of starting due to ICE prestart warm-up. ^ 1 dwg
