The arrangement (1) has an LED strip (4) in which a number of spaced apart LEDs are inserted. The LED strip is attached to a self-supporting plate-like element or in proximate surrounding of the plate-like element that has a plastic plate i.e. twin-wall sheet (2). The LED strip has a cover made of transparent material. The plastic plate is made using an extrusion method, and has a channel for receiving the LED strip at two opposite side edges of the plate-like element. A fluorescent material is added to a material of the plate-like element.
