PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling a motor is provided to stably control the motor at a high speed by preventing a collision due to a separated operation between the accumulation suppression and the weak magnetic-flux control in the integrator of a current adjuster. CONSTITUTION: The controller of a motor includes a current command generator, a current adjustor, an over modulator, a return controller(32), and a command magnetic-flux-value generator. The return controller generates a magnetic-flux deduction value which is proportional to the difference between an initial magnetic-flux-axis command voltage value(Vds^r**) from the current adjustor and a final magnetic-flux-axis command voltage of the over modulator and the difference between an initial torque-axis command voltage value(Vqs^r**) from the current adjustor and a final torque-axis command voltage value from the over modulator. The command magnetic-flux-value(lλlff) from the command magnetic-flux-value generator deducts the magnetic-flux deduction value is a reference magnetic-flux-value(lλlref) which is adopted to the current command generator.
