The invention relates to area of non-destructive control and diagnostics of pipelines. Method for determination of quality of insulation coating of pipeline includes generation of electric pulses, transfer of current to pipeline, emission of electromagnetic oscillations to space by it, following transformation of those by antenna of receiver to electric signal. One uses at least two harmonics of signal of generator of electric pulses of stabilized current, at that current along pipeline is calculated by each of harmonics, after that one determines coefficient of current decay, this characterizes quality of insulation coating, and as analysis of signal one uses spectral analysis. Device for determination of quality of insulation coating of pipeline includes generator of electric pulses arranged with possibility of connection to pipeline, and receiver of electromagnetic oscillations. Generator is arranged with possibility of generation of electric pulses of stabilized current with at least two harmonics simultaneously, and receiver has at least two parallel coils placed at distance one from another, and includes calculator that is arranged with possibility to carry out spectral analysis of received signal and to determine coefficient of current decay, this characterizes quality of insulation coating. The inventions make is possible to calculate level of effect of distributed parameters of pipeline on results of determination of quality of insulation coating of pipeline without additional measurements with side apparatuses and to exclude effect of those, to increase accuracy of determination of depth of bedding, current in pipeline, quality of insulation coating and to evaluate error of measurements |
