A method of producing filter-sorbent material for water purification includes treatment of dolomite and brucite. The filter material with absorptive properties is produced from natural dolomite at heat treatment thereof. Then the material is crushed and classified into filter fractions. Natural material brucite without thermal treatment is crushed and classified into factions.
