MOLD FOR PRODUCING SILICA CRUCIBLE

PURPOSE: A mold for manufacturing a quartz crucible is provided to remove the necessity of using a thick barrier material, and to easily collect the crucible from the mold. CONSTITUTION: A mold(1) for manufacturing a quartz crucible includes a level-difference unit(9) on the upper inside of a top opened unit of the mold. The level-difference unit receives a support member(8) in a hollow disc form, in which the inner diameter of the member is bigger than a barrier material(7). The barrier material is formed with quartz. The supporting member is formed with carbon or a composite including the carbon and ceramics.
