The screen (10) has a shutter (12) pivoted with respect to a roof of a vehicle between a retracted position and a deployed position in which the shutter is arranged opposite to a windscreen. A shutter lowering device lowers the shutter from its retracted position, and has a spiral spring interposed between a swivel pin (14) of the shutter and a case (20) that is connected to the roof and retained in the retracted position. The spring is released by pivotably driving the shutter from its retracted position towards its deployed position when the shutter is released from its retracted position.
