PURPOSE: A living wireless terminal with an auto squelch controller is provided to automatically control sensitivity of a squelch unit. CONSTITUTION: An HPF(High Pass Filter)(22) eliminates a low frequency component of amplified noise. An A/D converter(25) converts an analog signal of noise passing the HPF into a digital signal. A comparator(26) extracts the level and frequency of noise converted in the A/D converter. The comparator compares the extracted data with preset reference data. A SQ(SQuelch) control unit(27) controls a noise squelch amount of the squelch unit according to a comparison result from the comparator.
