PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device using a dye sensitized photovoltaics and a driving method are provided to realize low consumption power when becoming larger size and higher resolution of the liquid crystal display device. CONSTITUTION: A second substrate(20) is arranged to face with the first substrate(10). A liquid crystal layer(50) is located between the first substrate and second substrate. The liquid crystal layer includes dye-sensitized photovoltaics(40) formed with nanoparticle oxide(42) which is combined with any one color dye among red(44a), green(44b), and blue(44c). The dye-sensitized photovoltaics have a porous structure. Any one color dye among red, green, and blue is combined with each hole by the porous structure. |
