PURPOSE: A current limiting device is provided to reduce heat which is generated from a superconducting cable by rapidly limiting a short-circuit current which flows through a conductor. CONSTITUTION: A first vacuum insulator(3) is integrated between first metallic tubes. An external wall surrounds a free-space through which a coolant flows, and a super conducting cable(SK) is arranged in the free-space. An internal wall surrounds a cylindrical hollow and includes two second metallic tubes(4, 5). A second vacuum insulator(6) is integrated between the second metallic tubes. An internal wall is arranged in the external wall and is spaced apart as much as the free-space. |
