The method involves placing collagen sheaths around a zone to be protected, where the sheaths have a characteristic odor remotely discernible by wild boars. The sheaths are formed by extrusion of collagen that is obtained by physicochemical treatment of skin of bovines. The sheaths are flattened for forming dual thickness collagen bands. The bands having a length of 1.3 m are fixed at an interval of 10 m in woodland, where the bands are fixed to wooden stakes/concrete bars or trees surrounding the zone to be protected.
|
