<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner excellent in hot offset resistance without decreasing dispersibility of carbon black. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing the toner is such that the toner containing a binder resin, having a vinyl resin (A) crosslinked with a vinyl resin (B) is obtained, by heating and kneading a master batch which is obtained by heating and kneading the vinyl resin (A) having a carboxyl group with carbon black, with the vinyl resin (B) having a glycidyl group in an amount sufficient to crosslink the vinyl resin (A).
